Marketing on the internet has made a huge advantage for small enterprises. Including small franchises in the industry. The internet has become the "Level the playing field" for all businesses big or small because internet marketing does not favor who has the biggest capital or who is great in the business. Internet marketing has been good for small businesses to compete with the big guys.

In other words, its the way to market your business online without spending big amounts of cash like big companies do "billboards, yellow pages, commercial tv ads, flyers". You can do all of that in internet marketing at a very small price. The same amount of eyeballs that a billboard get without the same amount of cash for investment.

How To Properly Market Your Business Online

To properly market your business, you must know what your target audience are. Are you looking for 18 - 25 buyers? Ofw's wanting to retire with a business in the Philippines? Are you looking for buyers or just window shoppers?

Many have been tricked into believing that yellow pages and classified ads are a good way to market on the internet. Maybe, maybe not. But on the internet, when you need something, you search Google or Yahoo, not yellow pages. Google and Yahoo has been the best yellow pages around. So, what you need is to advertise on what websites that are on top of Google for a said phrase that is used by your customers for finding you. It's either ask them for putting an ad on your site or pay them for it.

Example, I am a person, looking for a franchise in the philippines, so, most likely, people will type in google or yahoo the terms "franchise Philippines" to look for a franchise. Just typing "FRANCHISE" will result to a not so related listings, you may see franchises from other countries instead of just the Philippines.

Even people looking for a job, don't go to job sites directly, they go to google or yahoo. If you think of it that way, then you're best bet is to make a site that will rank to the first page of google or to just buy an advertisement on the top website on google for a said search phrase.

I know this might sound a little complicated, but to make things short, if you want people to find you, they use Google or Yahoo. If you're on Google or Yahoo, then customers will find you and your business will prosper.

So there you have it, save some money and be efficient with it. Not all sites are created equal, they may be fancy but sometimes, little things counts most especially when you're starting out small.
